Question 1

Are there overwater bungalows in Belize?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lina Point on Ambergris Caye, in San Pedro, is an overwater resort. The cabanas sit on the water with glass-floor panels and private decks. Travelers also call them overwater bungalows, over-the-water bungalows, or huts over the water. The rooms page lists each cabana, suite, and the beachfront villa.

Question 2

What is included in the room rate at Lina Point?

Accepted Answer

All rooms include daily breakfast, complimentary kayaks, snorkel equipment, free WiFi, and access to the overwater infinity pool. Overwater cabanas also include glass-bottom floors and private sun decks.

Question 3

How do I get to Lina Point from the airport?

Accepted Answer

From Belize City International (BZE), take a domestic flight of about 15 minutes to San Pedro Airport (SPR), or a scheduled water taxi to the San Pedro terminal. The transfer from the San Pedro water taxi terminal or the San Pedro airstrip to Lina Point is complimentary. Share your arrival details in advance.

Question 4

What is the minimum stay at Lina Point?

Accepted Answer

The minimum stay at Lina Point is 2 nights. Most guests stay 4–7 nights to fully explore the reef, mangroves, and local experiences.

Question 5

Is Lina Point close to the Belize Barrier Reef?

Accepted Answer

Lina Point is overwater on the lagoon side of Ambergris Caye. Snorkel gear at the resort is for the water beside the cabanas. Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Shark Ray Alley, and the rest of the Belize Barrier Reef are boat trips, not a swim from the dock.

Question 6

Is it cheaper to book directly at Lina Point than on Booking.com or Expedia?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Book on linapoint.com for the rate we are offering that day. Room rates change daily, so the booking page is the price. Direct guests can earn loyalty points, request early check-in, and reach the concierge without a third party.
