Start with the room, not a package
There is no single published honeymoon package price at Lina Point, and no honeymoon extra is free. The honeymoons page is the short version of that fact. This guide is the planning version: which room, which paid add-ons, what the restaurant can and cannot do, and how a week on Ambergris Caye actually fits together.
Couples usually book one of three rooms. The standalone one-bedroom overwater cabana is the most private of the overwater rooms, with a large deck. The duplex overwater cabana shares the pier with the other duplex units. Suites in the main building are on the second floor or the first floor. The first-floor suite has a glass-floor insert. Villa 41 is beachfront, with a garden, not a room on stilts. Nightly prices for all of them change daily. The rates page explains direct booking and cancellation, and the rooms page shows the layouts. Then see live prices. Booking direct is the best price and beats online travel agencies by at least 6%. The minimum stay is 2 nights. Most couples who want a reef day and a do-nothing day stay longer than the minimum.
The room includes daily breakfast, kayaks, snorkel gear, paddleboards, Wi-Fi, and the infinity pool. It does not include rose petals, champagne, a private dinner, spa time, or a reef boat. If a hotel page somewhere else promised those as a honeymoon courtesy, it was not this one.
Paid extras, with the prices already on the site
Add these only if you want them. Each one is a separate charge.
The Romantic Room Setup is $120: rose petals, candles, and champagne waiting in the room. A private rooftop dinner is $250: a three-course dinner for a couple, over the water or at the cabana, with wine or champagne. A custom song is listed at $30 if you want one written for the trip. Massages start at $65 for a 60-minute Swedish. The full menu is on add-ons.
The Mayan also lists an Intimate Dinner for 2 to 6 guests from $350. That is a private-event product, not a walk-in table. Public dining at The Mayan is a different thing, and it is closed until November 12, 2026. Do not tell each other you will "just eat at the restaurant" on a date before then.
None of these replace the room rate. Book the room first. Add the setup or the dinner after, or email reservations@linapoint.com if you want them on the arrival night and the public form is the wrong place to explain a name and a time.
A week that does not invent inclusions
Here is a shape that uses only things the site actually sells. Change the order to match your flight.
Arrive the way the getting here page describes: BZE, then the short hop or the water taxi, then the ride from San Pedro. Do not book an 8:30 AM reef boat on the morning you land unless the hop is already confirmed for the day before.
Give the first full day to the deck, the pool, and a paddle. Gear is already in the rate. The second day is the reserve: the Hol Chan half-day from $60, which does not include Hol Chan Marine Reserve park fees, or Mexico Rocks if one of you is unsure in deep water. Read the Hol Chan guide so the sharks are not a surprise. The third day can be a golf cart into San Pedro. Four hours is $35. A full day is listed at $68. Town is the contrast to the pier: shops, a meal that is not at the resort, and a reminder that the island has a life of its own.
Leave one day with nothing on it. Honeymoons fail when every hour is a tour. A massage can sit in that gap if you want it, booked from the add-ons list, not assumed. If you want the Great Blue Hole, it is a certified-diver day from $350 with a 5:00 AM pickup, and it will erase the lazy morning. Only add it if that is the point of the trip.
The experiences catalog is longer than this sketch. Cooking classes at The Mayan are paused through November 12, 2026, with the first bookable class day on November 13. Do not put a fry-jack class on an October honeymoon.
Dining, and the November 2026 reopen
The Mayan is the overwater restaurant on the property. When it is open, hours are Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It is closed Sundays. There is no public dinner service. Evenings that are private events are arranged separately.
The dining room is closed August 24 through November 11, 2026. The first public open day is November 12, 2026. During the closure, in-house guests receive continental breakfast. Sunrise yoga returns in mid-November 2026, with the reopen. A price for yoga is not published. If your honeymoon is before November 12, plan breakfast as the in-house continental, plan lunch and dinner off property or as a paid private dinner, and do not expect the restaurant, the class, or yoga to be running.
If your honeymoon is on or after November 12, you can use the public brunch hours. You still cannot walk in for a public dinner. The $250 rooftop dinner remains the way to eat together at night as a booked add-on. Details and the live calendar are on dining.
San Pedro has other kitchens. The things-to-do guide names places in town. This page will not invent a ranking or a must-order. A golf cart is how you get there.
Reef, weather, and the comparison you are probably also making
The barrier reef is the reason many couples pick Belize over a longer overwater flight. The bookable boats are on snorkeling. The comparison guide puts Belize next to the Maldives, Bora Bora, and Mexico without fake nightly rates for those countries. If you have four or five nights, the short flight is the argument for Ambergris Caye. If you have two weeks and a long-haul budget, the other places may still win. Read it before you decide the cabana is a compromise. For a lot of US couples it is the trip that actually happens.
Weather still picks the week. Dry season is November through April. September and October are the higher hurricane-risk months. Sargassum comes and goes. The best time page is the longer version. A honeymoon in peak March is busier and easier to photograph. A honeymoon in June is quieter and wetter in the afternoons.
Weddings, groups, and advisors
A honeymoon is not a wedding. If you are getting married on the trip, or renewing vows, start on weddings. Private events are hosted at The Mayan, with the rooms on the same property. A full buyout for a wedding party is 18 king rooms and up to 36 overnight guests. That is also the groups page. The rehearsal dinner product, The Night Before, is listed from $1,800. Do not assume a honeymoon setup covers a ceremony.
If a travel advisor is booking the stay, commission is 20% on the client stay. The advisor should use travel advisors, not a code invented for a honeymoon blog. The creator program is a different arrangement. The longer note for buyouts and advisors is the group trip guide.
Money, packing, and the cancellation clock
Free cancellation up to 30 days before check-in. Cancel 14–29 days before check-in for a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of check-in are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable. Put the request in writing. If you are marrying the dates to a peak week, the 30-day full-refund line is the date that matters, not the week you feel like deciding.
Pack for sun, a wet dock, and one outfit that is not a swimsuit if you are leaving the property for a meal. The list is on what to pack. Passports and the current entry rule are on entry and money. US dollars work in San Pedro. The Belize dollar is pegged 2 to 1 with the US dollar, which is the rate this site already publishes.
Read reviews for other couples' notes. They are stories, not a star rating this page adds. Then book the room, add only the paid pieces you want, and leave one day empty on purpose.
